Computer Dissasembly Project Update

We were given an old but operational computer, with specifications such as: Compaq Deskpro – Intel Pentium II, serial No. 6923 CNS2 B959. After the pictures and information were taken, the computer components were identified and the lid was removed. Photographs of inside the computer were also taken and then we began the removal of computer components, saving the small screws inside the orange case. Since only I had previous experience with computer disassembly, I took lead in unplugging and the main components listed on the list, and identifying them. Then the network card was removed and separated, and then CD-Rom, Floppy, and HD also followed. The ram was removed and had 2 sticks which are the main components in order to a computer to work fast. Noted, there was an absence of Sound Card, and Speaker. After the Power supply and backup battery were removed, Emily and I re-assembled the computer together, but we did not test if it is working. We were the second group to finish the disassembly and re-assembly in the shortest amount of time.
